We've been married for over 30 years, we have 2 grown up daughters, and we love Northumberland!

Having run our own Village Stores & Post Office for 12 years, we know that people like cheerful, friendly service, which is good value for money. This is what we aim to give.

When we're not working in the B&B, you might find us pursuing one or other of our hobbies. Paulette particularly loves folk music, and plays autoharp, guitar and bodhran (but not all at the same time!) She is also teaching herself the piano accordian. A regular performer at local Folk Clubs and evenings, she also somehow manages to find time to write her own songs.

Patrick returned to college as a mature student to take a degree in Countryside Management. His love of the outdoors leads him to constantly discover new walks in the fabulous Northumberland scenery, as well as volunteering with local conservation and wildlife groups. When he remembers to take his camera with him, he's also a keen amateur photographer!
